40 years of Art in Taos

Jameson Wells

Jameson Wells will be showing mixed media collage paintings and stone carvings,
created during her forty-some years of living in Taos

May 27 - June 13, 2022

Opening Reception

Friday, May 27 • 1:00-5:00 pm

Wells layers recycled fabrics, paper, and other materials, with oil paint and graphite, to create geometric shapes which appear and disappear, showing evidence of the process, and seem to live on an archetypal level before manifestation. Her sculptures, carved directly out of the stone using hand tools, also work with archetypal images.  Wells has lived and shown her work in New Mexico since 1978, and has exhibited throughout the Southwest and on both coasts.
